Commonly asked questions:

At what age can my child start music lessons?

Each child develops differently when it comes to comprehension and attention span.  At a minimum a child must know their alphabet and count to ten.  It is our desire to see children start music education as early as possible but only if he/she can progress at a successful pace.  After the application for enrollment is received, an interview with the parents and student may be conducted for consideration and placement. 

When are the lessons?

Studio hours are 7:30 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday. 
Lessons are 30 minutes long.   

What are the fees?
Book Fees

Book fees vary depending on the student’s age and the level ay which the student starts.  A yearly minimum of $25.00 and a maximum amount of $50.00 should be expected.

Lesson fees

Advanced Level Teacher $18.00 per lesson
Intermediate Level Teacher $16.00 per lesson
Under-Graduate Teacher $14.00 per lesson

Who Are the Teachers?

Quentin Road has an extensive staff of teachers who are dedicated and qualified.  All QRML/SM teachers must pass rigorous criteria.

Advanced Level Teacher has more than ten years of music teaching experience.

Intermediate Level Teacher has more than three years experience teaching music and/or a Bachelors of Music degree.

Under-Graduate Teacher is personally studying music with an Advanced Level Teacher and has earned the confidence to teach from that teacher.  The Advanced Teacher monitors the teaching of the Under-Graduate Teacher.  

Dental Braces

For the band student, braces can become a hindrance to properly playing the instrument of choice.  At times an alternate instrument may be recommended.
